I worked at a public high school last year and never had any problems with changing the visa.
The employment process again - to add the -1 to the visa.

OK, so I'm assuming that the 8 months you would "regroupement de famille" visa.
Just check the French consulate website.
It's part of the requirement for the long-stay visitor visa as well as for the student visa.

An employment visa is issued in your country, for employment with a specific employer only.
There is no such thing as a work permit.

You apply for a tourist visa if you do not know anybody in the country you plan to visit, if you stay in hotels/hostels, and if you finance the journey by your own means.
