I'm not a great fan of duplicating effort. I do find, however, that there are benefits to tracking agile iteration progress on both a physical card wall and an online "calculator" (Excel, some scrum tools) or an online card wall (e.g. Mingle).
I find ...

There is something very psychologically satisfying....
Part of it may be that we find our "online card wall" a little too.
Method is left as an exercise imagine doing it any other way .
Set up two way replication.
Cross link your online and card wall.

Given that in-wall speakers need a substantial depth, is it structurally OK to remove the required amount of block material in order to accommodate in-wall speakers?
Walls are plasterboard dot and dab on block-work.
Thanks.

I think Arcam_boy was suggesting building a stud work wall in front of the existing wall, not removing even more of your blockwork.
To the structural integrity of the rest of the wall.

Obviously, the wall would be much stronger if the lower wall was full height the foundation construction.

OK, so some time ago I was asking for ideas on how to create a large shelf for slightly submerged boulders (perhaps 4" submerged). This is often done with in-ground koi ponds by having a two-level collar. But in this case, I'm looking at a raised pond...

Easily build your 7' tall wall but where you want the shelf leave out the appropriate amount of courses to get the depth you want, then build a wooden framed shelf that is attached to the vertical wall and supported below with studs.
