So excited! I was at my 36 week appointment today. I am in a practice with 3 ob's and a midwife. I saw the midwife today. I asked if they had a birth tub. I read somewhere that they had one but I've given birth there twice and haven't seen it. She said...

All of them via waterbirth! It was wonderful to labor and birth.

What is your unit's policy on raised BMI and using the pool? Do you have one? Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon.

Need to be under 35.
Woke up earlier than usual on Jan 17 th so DH and I had a little “adult time” since he had the day off and Strummer was not awake yet. Neither of us had that “todays the day” feeling and there was really no sign that our little girl was about to change...

Ok, this might be a crazy idea, but please tell me what you think. My practice includes 3 OBs and 2 midwives. Everyone is on board with my plan for a waterbirth except for 1 OB. This doctor says it's ok to labor in the water, but I should deliver in the...

If everyone else in his practice is OK with the waterbirth maybe you can make it clear to him that unless there are unforeseen.
But if you do I'm not sure if an accidental waterbirth will work.

I had a hospital waterbirth, and loved it! DH stayed on dry land, and I scooped the baby up out.
What made you decide this over a regular land hb? I am so unsure of what I want to do, it has been a bit of a fight to get dp to agree to a hb I think a tub might push it over, I can't see him being willing to clean the thing out. We also don't really...

My living room is very small, and I was wondering, how long did it take you to get the pool down after? It's just I'm not going to want to be squeezing around a birth pool after the birth iygwim? Anyone bought the birth pool in a box (mini) how big is...

Obviously I empty them all the....
It's not a quick job and means they're doing that when they should be snuggling up with you if you need it out of the way .
I 100% recommend a liner if your partner is going to be emptying it .
They're quite slow to empty.
