Recently I think more just call it 'western', western university seems....
To say 'UW' sounds weird.
People often say 'UWO' here.

I'm using Dreamweaver CS3, and when I built an application I forgot to ensure that the encoding was set to UTF8.
I went through all my files and changed the encoding from western european to UTF8. This was fine until I noticed that SOME files revert back...

When reading data from the Input file I noticed that the ¥ symbom was not being read by the StreamReader. Mozilla Firefox showed the input file type as Western (ISO-8859-1).
After playing around with the encoding parameters I found it worked successfully...

However, I'd expect them to be the same for this code point (U+00A5) .
If you want ISO-Latin-1, use Encoding.GetEncoding(28591).
Code page 1252 isn't quite the same as ISO-Latin-1.
