Well kiddies it has been a good run...18 years and 1,355,413 miles and the ol' duke spun a rod bearing.
Makes a sorta knocking noise but the oil pressure is still good and I am driving it 50 miles a day until it sheds a rod .

A guy is trying to trade me a 51 Willies 4x4. 4 cylinder, its been a farm rig forever and the body is rough. The owner thinks the points are bad but otherwise should run. I don't really want a project, so I'd probly flip it. Would it be worth it?

I dont know the wheelbase if whatever you are buying but maybe a blazer like mentioned... .
Maybe the best thing to do if you dont want to modify the donor frame/drivetrain is measure the wheelbase and go to a salvage yard and compare it to potential donors .
