Are you willing to consider alternatives to Winamp?
If so investigating with Winamp....
However please note the limited support.
It allows for the management and control of certain iPhone functions from within WinAMP.

I want that my winamp goes to the tray icon on my Win XP, next to the watch. How can I do that? Is there any plugin or option that I have to configured?

Winamp 5 can way to access Winamp, others....
Options ==> Preferences ==> General Preferences ==> Show Winamp in: ==> System tray
And, you can select the icon too.
That's supposed to be part of WinAMP configuration...

There used to be a plugin for winamp called ml_sync.
Then there's the more recent mlipod.
Works with any iPod except Touch
I found this article about using Winamp of iPods.

It's the Winamp you know minus all the bloat you don't like.

Since I updated to the latest version of Winamp (5.55) each time I restore (unminimize) from the system tray, the media library panel goes to "Now Playing".
Not only is that really annoying since it changes from the media view I want, but it also displays...

Preferences -> Plugins -> Media Library.
My suggestion is to just reinstall Winamp and unckeck this option.
When you install Winamp, you can choose not to install the "Now Playing" feature.

It started happening a few updates ago and I can't figure out if it's some setting that changed or if there's some reason it can't access the file. Has anyone else had this problem and been able to fix it?
I'd like to avoid a blanket uninstall/reinstall...

There may also be a folder called winamp....
Maybe take ownership of winamp.m3u (or the winamp directory)
In the appdata\winamp directory.
Let me know.
Go in Folder Options - File Types and make sure the .m3u files are opened by Winamp.

How might Winamp plot amplitude? My guesses:
The minimum amplitude is assumed to be -6.02b dB, and the maximum amplitude is 0 dB.

Hi,
the WinAmp DLL bundled with Invision just lets mIRC crash everytime i start it since i have WinAmp 5.5 installed.
As workaround i had to remove all references to this DLL in idccnmp3.mrc:

As soon as i uninstall winamp invision then runs OK again....
But its still crashing....
If you still had issues..
The latest Invision (November release) should fix the issues with WinAmp.
