Im afraid this is something that is part of the WMP mini-bar, you can either disable mini-bar all together or use a much better media software like songbird or winamp There is a registry hack to fix that .

You cannot install WMP11 for Windows XP upon Windows Vista. It doesn't have necessary fixes that WMP11 contains. You cannot install WMP10 upon Vista. That aren't helpful.
