Is amazing to come to understand how little thought was given to losing crews in the WWII air campaigns is amazing to come to understand how little thought was given to losing crews in the WWII air.

Japanese schools teach that WWII was not an "immoral" war - it was an ordinary war fought to the WWII generation of Chinese....
The Japanese education system presents a different viewpoint on WWII than the American education system does.

My question, and I don't mean to suggest anything, is how do you know it's period made? I've seen several come along that were modern reproductions .
That appears to be an outstanding piece and one I've searched for Hi and Low over the last few years .

Sidearms during WWII
One question I have had for a long while is who carried the M1911 during WWII? I know officers and most NCO's did, but how about enlisted men (PVT, PFC, SPC, CPL) did they or were they on their own in getting pistols? Thanks..

The carbine was adopted in WWII because a battlefield commission.
It was very common for soldiers in WWII to use whatever weapon they could pick up off a fallen comrade was different and even platoon and squad leaders carried pistols.

Features a lot of less-known and rarely seen vehicles - T-26 light tanks , I-16 fighters - most of it used... .
Action scenes are still quite OK though the movie is over 15 years old .
A rather little known but a very good one is finnish movie ´Winter War´ .

He said they used 45 1911's shotguns during WWII, but probably didn't have any specifically designed and used by the military.
In WWII guarded German and Italian prisoners of war in Arizona.
