If you want to double the yarn, that's fine, but that will work a lot easier if you also use a larger for gift or for me I look for worsted....
When I use thin yarns I make scarves or shawls where you can get away with using larger needles.

For some newborn diapers or maybe sock yarn, depending on the colourways.
I am a new crocheter and am about 30 weeks pregnant with twins and so enjoying knitting up some cute hats for them I love this yarn, but I have no idea what kind it is. (not necessarily the sequins, but the more natural looking/fuzzyness of it).

And congratulations!!! twins!! how exciting!!! I am not sure what yarn that is, I remember seeing a yarn with sequins like that at hobby lobby, but I dont remember what kind it was--sorry.
